On March 6, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People’s Republic of China issued Announcement No. 999. In accordance with the Regulations on the Administration of Veterinary Drugs and the Measures for the Registration of Veterinary Drugs, and following review, bromochlorohydantoin tablets (for aquaculture) developed by Qingdao Zhongren Animal Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. have been approved as a Class III new veterinary drug at the national level.
This product oxidizes and degrades the biological enzymes within microbial cells, rendering them inactive and thereby exerting a bactericidal effect. It is used for disinfecting aquaculture water bodies to prevent and control hemorrhage, gill rot, skin ulceration, and enteritis caused by Vibrio, Aeromonas hydrophila, Edwardsiella, and other pathogens in fish, shrimp, crabs, soft-shelled turtles, shellfish, frogs, and other aquatic farmed species.
