01. Temperature and Ventilation

In winter, it is necessary to correctly solve and deal with the temperature, ventilation problems and the relationship between the two, which will directly affect the overall production level. In general farms, heat preservation is mainly adjusted by simple fire and agricultural film. The indoor temperature of ducks of different ages should be strictly adjusted according to the requirements of technical standards. Before 7 days of age, the temperature is 34 ℃ ~ 27 ℃;8 days of age to 21 days of age, the temperature is 26 ℃ ~ 18 ℃;22 days of age to market, normal temperature (15 ℃ ~ 20 ℃).

Ventilation or not should be determined according to the concentration of ammonia and carbon dioxide in the duck house. Generally, entering the duck house does not feel dazzling and dyspnea, and the temperature is appropriate. A small ventilation hole can be opened in the safety ventilation facility above the ceiling of the duck house for small airflow ventilation. If you feel dazzling and dyspnea when entering the duck house, it indicates that the concentration of ammonia and carbon dioxide in the air is too high, and the reason should be found, such as the drying degree of bedding grass, the sanitary condition of drinking water harvesting device, disinfection, etc. Any problem should be handled in time. At the same time, the ceiling ventilation facilities or ventilation holes should be opened to carry out atmospheric circulation. Vertical and horizontal ventilation should not be carried out. This will cause the indoor temperature to drop sharply and cause the ducks to catch a cold.

02, Drinking Water and Water Temperature Control

Water is a necessary material in the process of duck growth, should always ensure that the duck is easy to take, clean and hygienic drinking water, while paying attention to the temperature of drinking water, especially during the brooding duck drinking water temperature. The ideal drinking water temperature for ducklings is 20 ℃ ~ 25 ℃, and the ideal drinking water temperature for adult ducks is 10 ℃ or slightly higher. Don't let the duck drink ice water in winter. If the water intake of ducks is reduced, the food intake of ducks will be reduced in 24-28 hours, which will affect the growth rate, and the resistance of ducks to diseases will be reduced accordingly.

03, Hygiene and Disinfection

Sanitation and disinfection is an important part of the basic management of duck breeding. In winter, the weather is changeable, the rain and snow weather increases, and the temperature drops, resulting in a decrease in duck adaptability and body resistance. Therefore, sanitation and disinfection work must be timely, thorough and effective. Special attention should be paid to the environmental sanitation and disinfection of small duckhouses to prevent small ducklings from contracting diseases and poor growth in the early stage. The daily disinfection of ducks in the duckhouse is conducive to the purification of the ground, bedding and air, and to prevent the ducklings from being infected with duck infectious serositis and other frequently-occurring diseases through respiratory tract and skin damage.

The living space of ducks in winter is mostly indoors, and the cleaning of indoor hygiene is the key to solve the overall hygiene level of winter breeding. Practice has proved that the drying hygiene of bedding directly affects the weight gain and feed-to-meat ratio of commercial ducks. Wet bedding produces a large amount of ammonia, causing air pollution in duck houses, causing epidemics of diseases in ducks and affecting growth and development.
