In the Weifang region, a poultry farm raising 30,000 young roosters began experiencing sporadic mortality around 70 days of age, with 10–20 birds dying each day. Necropsy revealed signs consistent with Escherichia coli infection, including pericarditis and perihepatitis. The farm had administered one course of antiviral and anti‑E. coli medications, but the results were unsatisfactory. Consequently, they consulted our company. After a comprehensive assessment—taking into account the flock’s overall condition, feed intake, and medication history—our technical team concluded that the observed issues were likely due to compromised immunity and low antibody levels, leading to secondary E. coli infections.

The following treatment regimen is recommended:

Qin Gankang (New Liu Huang Xian Antibody): 1,000 jin of water per bag; Rui Zhi Qing: 400 jin of water per bag; Jiang Gan Su Zhi: 1,000 jin of water per bag. Use continuously for 4 days.

Follow-up visit four days later: The flock has regained its normal mental state, feed intake has increased, and mortality has dropped to 2–3 birds per day; by day seven, no further deaths were observed.
