Treatment plan for seedling loss caused by massive parasitism of early‑stage *Euglena* cultures on the seedling stems.

Around the May Day holiday, temperatures are unstable, leading to an overabundance of cladocerans and copepods that cause the pond water to become excessively clear. Meanwhile, *Euglena* spp. proliferate extensively, parasitizing the gills and swimming legs of Pacific white shrimp, resulting in reduced feed intake and, in severe cases, oxygen depletion and mortality.

The main reasons are the dominance of algae and excessive thinness.

Handling Plan

Apply Zhongren enzyme fertilizer (10 mu per bucket) combined with Super Algae Seed (3 mu per bottle) by evenly broadcasting it across the entire pond; apply in the morning on sunny days. After 3–5 days, apply a second topdressing, using Su Bu Duo Mineral (3–5 mu per bag) in the evening and spreading it uniformly throughout the pond to ensure thorough absorption by the shrimp larvae and promote molting. The next day, use Decomposing Bottom Conditioner (10 mu per bag) to improve the pond bottom. Subsequent microscopic examination revealed that the detached motile algae had completely disappeared, demonstrating a remarkable effect.
