1 What is the mildew?

Water mildew is commonly known as white disease, skin mildew. It is a fungal disease caused by water mold attached to the epidermis of fish. The reproduction method of water mold is asexual reproduction through spores, which can be planted on the body surface of diseased fish to form hyphae, mass reproduction to form white or gray flocculent organisms, commonly known as "long hair"

When will the mildew come out?

Water mold is more common in late winter and early spring. When the water temperature is lower than 20 ℃, it is easy to be infected with the disease. The optimum breeding temperature is 10-18 ℃, and the water temperature is higher than 28 ℃ to inhibit spore reproduction. At the initial stage of water mold parasitism, the symptoms cannot be seen by the naked eye. When visible to the naked eye, the nutrient hyphae have penetrated into the skin, the outer hyphae grow outward as cotton wool and attach to the fish body, and the inner hyphae penetrate inward into the muscle.

What are the causes of water mold?

During fishing and transportation, the fish body is seriously injured, and the skin of the fish is injured due to parasitic infection and frostbite of the overwintering fish body. The water mold free spores in the water are waiting for the opportunity to attach to the necrotic tissue and begin to germinate to form hyphae. The hyphae not only parasitize the necrotic tissue, but also secrete a large amount of proteolytic enzymes, causing serious decay of the fish muscles, in addition, the pond water in winter and spring is too thin, and the fish body is extremely hungry, malnourished, low immunity, and easily cross-infected.

Is water mildew harmful to farmed animals?

The main infection is four major fish. The early symptoms of diseased fish are long hair on their bodies, silt on their gills, and serious gill rot, vertical scales, bacterial rotten body, furuncle, ulcer, ascites and tail breakage. When there is sun, sick fish will swim alone, sluggish, do not eat, and be frightened. A large number of deaths began in early February, with a mortality rate of 10% to 50%.

5 How to control water mildew?

1. When stocking fish species, soak them with povidone iodine for 5 minutes, and each bottle (500 ml) can be equipped with 1000kg of water.

2. After the fish species are put away, the whole pool is promptly sprinkled with Meiting (thiofloxacin) for disinfection, and each bottle uses 2 mu of water. Spill it every other week.

3. After the fish opens its mouth, take liver and gallbladder for health and aquatic products for multi-dimensional➕Virus nemesis, continuous feeding for a week, enhance the animal's own immunity and self recovery ability.

How to treat water mold?

1. On the first day, each pack of gallnut is added with 15kg of salt, soaked in warm water and disinfected with one mu of water. Two hours later, Zhongren gold iodine (6 mu/bottle) is used for disinfection. Galla Chinensis with table salt can shrink wounds and quickly kill harmful and stubborn fungi.

2. On the second day, according to the degree of disease, Zhongren gold iodine (6 mu/bottle) can be poured again to help wound healing and prevent bacterial infection.

3. Take florfenicol (according to fish body weight, medication)➕liver and gallbladder double health➕Virus Nemesis➕Aquatic special multi-dimensional, continuous feeding for a week, promote metabolism and enhance the liver detoxification capacity and improve their own immunity.

After the fish disease is controlled, the beneficial bacteria are supplemented in time to seize the niche and inhibit the reproduction of harmful bacteria.
